Loparex LLC, a Cary, N.C.-based manufacturer of blown film and release liners, announced Aug. 25 that it has completed the integration of specialty films producer Infiana Group GmbH.
Loparex started the integration process in September 2019, and since then has focused on maximizing synergies between the companies.
"We now look forward to beginning the next step in this journey as we continue to develop as an organization and grow our market-leading value offering to our customers," CEO Simon Medley said in a news release.
Infiana is the former Huhtamäki Films, which changed its name following a private equity and management buyout in November 2014 from former parent company Huhtamäki Oyj of Espoo, Finland.
Loparex is a global maker of release liners. Following the integration, it now has eight manufacturing facilities: Eden, N.C.; Iowa City, Iowa; Hammond, Wis.; Malvern, Pa.; Forchheim, Germany; Apeldoorn, Netherlands; Guangzhou, China; and Silvassa, India.
Loparex formed in 2004 through the merger of Lohja Group and Rexam Release. It was formerly based in Apeldoorn and moved its headquarters to Cary in 2009.
London-based Pamplona Capital Management bought a majority stake in Infiana in July 2019. A month later, it bought Loparex from Intermediate Capital Group.
Loparex makes direct coated and poly-coated paper liners, as well as blown and cast films. Its converting capabilities include embossing, coating, slitting and printing.
